Creech Air Force Base Predator Aircraft Operations Facilities

To support the unmanned surveillance and reconnaissance missions of the RQ-1 Predator aircraft at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada, the US Air Force invested hundreds of millions of dollars in new facilities and infrastructure systems. The Air Force Center for Engineering and Environment (AFCEE) and Army Corps of Engineers programmed and has been executing the construction of a new $90 million complex at Creech AFB in a 24-month schedule duration. The program consists of eleven new facilities including operations, aircraft support, munitions storage and administration spaces, with all supporting civil infrastructure and site work.

The AFCEE hired MOCA Systems as a contractor to provide professional services during the contracting and construction phases of the program given the complexity of the program and local market dynamics. MOCA’s professionals provided cost engineering, construction simulation, and construction oversight services over a three year period. Through accurate cost estimating, monitoring of construction progress, early warning of critical path and slippage issues, and identification of potential recovery options, the MOCA team is helping AFCEE and the design-build contractor complete the project on-time and within budget.
