Power Generation

There is constant pressure to meet expanding power generation demands across the world while simultaneously producing cleaner fuels in more efficient ways to meet sustainability goals. Our power generation clients are investing millions of dollars to maintain and refurbish their aging facilities, expand their capacity, and introduce new technologies. Delays in these mission-critical projects cost millions of dollars in unrealized revenues, penalties, contingencies and liquidated damages.

We reduce downtime of outages and minimize risk of slippage to capital program completion dates.

Our professionals provide a truly differentiated program and project control service to power generation companies, government agencies and contractors that achieve results. We manage the repair to planned or forced outages and the delivery of capital programs with an integrated master schedule and cost control service based on advanced construction simulation technology. MOCA provides our clients with a critical advantage to manage complex, time-sensitive projects to meet their financial and timeline goals.

In Arkansas, we are helping to refurbish the Ozark Hydro Powerhouse on the Arkansas River consisting of five power generation units totaling 100-megawatts of output. Once disassembly of the initial turbine began in 2008, several repair issues surfaced that impacted the project cost and schedule. Our team is helping to recover the schedule through creative application of software and proven project controls expertise.
