U.S. Air Force – Renewable Energy Wind Generation

Alaska (2011)

The U.S. Air Force is planning for the installation of renewable energy wind generation sites throughout remote areas of Alaska. Wind generation is a potential opportunity to reduce utility costs and carbon emissions while increasing our Nation’s energy independence. Wind resources have been identified as strong potential in Alaska while local electric utility rates and on-site diesel deliveries are expensive and escalating. The intent is to install and incorporate renewable wind energy into the power production equation.
